In this quarantine life, a simple breakfast gives us a good start the day! Since we are spending so much time in the kitchen, I need recipes that are simple and delicious. Yogurt parfaits fit the bill and also make a great snack anytime, day or night!
We top our parfaits with any fruit we happen to have – sliced bananas, blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries are personal favorites. Make a batch of this granola to have on hand and you will be able to serve this meal without any planning! Use a drop of Wild Orange Essential Oil on your yogurt for a fun and flavorful twist!
Chef Brad is the guru that shared this Homemade Yogurt recipe with me in his pressure cooker class. (You can take his classes virtually and I highly recommend doing so!) The yogurt is sweetened with Sweetened Condensed Milk which would normally not be an approved ingredient with me, but it is better than the filler in most other yogurts. And this recipe makes 4 quarts, so you have just over a tablespoon of sugar per pint…not very much per person! Plus, this recipe will save you money over higher-priced yogurts!
2 (52 oz) Fairlife whole milk, ultra-pasteurized
1 small container Fage plain yogurt
1 can sweetened condensed milk
Dash vanilla
Fairlife is a wonderful whole milk that has been ultra-pasteurized so you
don’t have to heat and cool in the yogurt making process.
In your pressure cooker/InstantPot insert place Fairlife whole milk, yogurt, condensed milk, and vanilla. Whisk well and push the yogurt button on your cooker. It takes 8 hours. When done remove from cooker and place in your refrigerator for another 8 hours. Remove from refrigerator and place in smaller airtight containers. Store in refrigerator. Enjoy.
(Always save a small amount 1/2 cup for the next batch. You won’t need to buy the Fage again.)
You can serve this fun yogurt for breakfast or as a snack at an oil team event! So easy and everyone can add as much Wild Orange as they desire. Yum!
