My friend Sara shared this recipe with me just before we all started staying home! She texted me the recipe and it’s the kind of recipe that you are constantly scrolling through texts in order to find it to make it again! It’s a sweet drink that has saved me during quarantine! Completely healthy + tastes like chocolate? It’s a miracle!
I love making this in my blender and keeping it the fridge means it is ready anytime I am hungry. I feel full after having some and I love knowing it’s actually good for me too! It’s simple and easy to make!
You will begin by soaking your nuts overnight. You can use almonds or cashews or any other raw nut. Cashews are my favorite. I triple the recipe below so that I only have to soak nuts once a week. Soaking your nuts will neutralize the enzymes so that it is easy to digest and also increases the benefits to your body. Add a dash of Redmond Salt to your soaked nuts and leave them in the fridge overnight so you are then ready to make the Cacoa Bliss in the morning!
If you haven’t tried Redmond Salt, it’s my favorite! It is sourced in Utah and still contains all the minerals. Most salts on the market have been adulterated with anti-caking agents or dextrose (corn sugar) but I trust this brand.
Soak the nuts overnight and then rinse them. You will then add all the ingredients to your blender. I add a drop of dÅTERRA Cinnamon oil because it supports healthy metabolic function and helps me maintain a healthy immune system. I sometimes add an extra drop because I love the flavor! Cinnamon + Chocolate = Bliss!
I prefer this drink cold but some people like it warm. You can add more cinnamon or cacoa nibs if you like it to be more flavorful.
1 cup raw soaked nuts (Organic Cashews are my favorite) with a dash of Redmond Salt
3 cups water
3 medjool dates (remove pit)
1 Tablespoon raw cacao nibs
1 drop cinnamon oil or 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
Soak nuts overnight. Rinse nuts. Blend nuts with remaining ingredients. Chill and enjoy!
